If you are a parent, you know the little collections of nature that our children gather while outside. Sticks, grass, leaves, flowers, pinecones, rocks all accumulate in your house or the door of your car. Every time you find a rock, it is a gentle reminder of the sweet innocence and imagination of our children. At Grow + Gather Wisconsin, we will be gathering together to collect fruits and veggies from our garden, eggs from the nesting boxes, flowers from nature and most importantly memories and skills that will last a lifetime. We will be growing together, shoulder to shoulder, along side each other, our garden and our animals.

We offer a nature/farm based program, with a child-led learning approach that allows children to explore and discover the natural world around them while nurturing their inherent sense of wonder and inquiry. We embrace the philosophy of forest schooling, where the outdoors serves as our classroom. We are influenced by a medley of alternative methods including Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Waldorf.

Our classes are intentionally small, which means if we are full, you have the option to join our waitlist and you will be contacted when there is an opening.

Occasional community events will be scheduled at Gather + Grow Wisconsin. These events will be scheduled ahead of time and will be optional. Think... outdoor movie, art class, lantern walk, s'mores, yoga on the farm type events.

Our Home Base
Gather + Grow Wisconsin is located on a private, 40 acre lot in the scenic surroundings of Whitewater, WI. Whitewater is known to be a nature lover's playground. Our property consists of woods, trails, meadows, and a wildflower field. It is situated near Princes Point Wildlife Area and the Scuppernong River which brings a significant amount of wildlife to the area. During any given day, it is common to see turkeys, ducks, geese, cranes, herons, deer (with an occasional albino sighting), and more. We have various types of trees on the property including apple, pears, and cherry trees.

In addition to all of nature's animals, we also have a growing number of our own animals on the property. We have future plans to add honeybees (hello, local honey) and who knows... maybe a few sheep, goats, or donkeys!

We have plenty of outdoor space to play and learn. We also have a community garden where all the children will have an active role and responsibility in growing and harvesting goodies!

While we do prioritize being outdoors, we do utilize a cozy yurt to get out of the elements.

DISCLAIMER: Gather + Grow Wisconsin is not a school, and we do not teach academic material. While we do place significant value on the time spent at Gather + Grow Wisconsin, those hours are not applicable towards Wisconsin's instructional hours for homeschool families. As an enrichment program, we create the magic of being in nature with other children and families.
