Daily Rhythm
A DAY AT GATHER + GROW WISCONSIN
We recognize and value flow learning. If the children are particularly interested in a certain activity, we may adjust the rhythm of our day. We will have ample opportunities to customize learning based on the interests of the group. No two days at Gather + Grow Wisconsin will be the exact same. Activities will vary based on season and weather.
Arrival + Open Play (15 mins)
Typically the first 15 minutes! Families will have about a 15 minute grace period before the group begins with morning circle. During arrival/drop-off we encourage children to socialize, free-play, nature journal, use the restroom, play with animals, etc.
Morning circle + Lesson/Theme Intro and Discussions (15-20 mins)
This time may include stories, songs, books, and discussion of daily goals or themes as well as setting intentions for class as a whole. After the story or discussion, we will move onto our main lesson/activity and unstructured free play.
Hands-On Learning Activities/Challenges + Unstructured Free Play (2 hours)
Snack time will also be included during this time.
Gratitude and goodbye circle (15 mins)
This time will be spent reflecting on the day as well as cleaning and packing up. We will say our goodbyes and hike back to the pick up location.
